Uttoxeter Physiotherapy Team

Our approach

The Physiotherapists at our clinic will be different to what you may have experienced previously. Firstly, they will listen to what you tell them and will identify what your key problems are. You will notice that we have more time available to spend with you, assessing, treating and explaining clearly what the problem is. The most important part of getting better is understanding the problem and knowing why you are getting the pain you are experiencing. Once this is clear we will explain to you how we can make things better. If we don’t think you’ll benefit from Physiotherapy we will explain why and arrange for the appropriate next step, whether this be a visit to your General Practitioner or a Consultant for further investigation.

If we can help you, an appropriate treatment programme will be explained. This may consist of a “hands on” approach to get the stiff joints or muscles moving to reduce your pain; and rehabilitation to stabilise, stretch or strengthen the painful bits to keep you painfree and prevent recurrence. We also have links with appropriate Exercise Specialists and Personal Trainers so that you know what exercise you can do safely without having to come back and see us again.

We also provide a range of services including: Acupuncture, Neurological Physiotherapy, Reflexology, Hand Physiotherapy, Core Stability Training, Sports Massage, Sports Injury Assessment and Work Station / Ergonomics advice.
